Cleaning with disinfectants
What the service includes, what it costs and how to start
Ordinary cleaning, but with professional products that disinfect. Mechanical cleaning comes first — no product works on a dirty surface, however much of it you pour on. Then the surface is treated and left for the required contact time, and only then does the entry go into the log — area by area.

Eight blocks of the method statement. Hover over a block for the tasks and the stage they belong to. The list of areas and the frequency are set by the site specification.
Preparation and cleaning
Treatment without cleaning first is pointless: the product reacts with the soiling, not with the surface. This order isn’t a formality — it’s what makes the result real.

Which sites
The service is for sites where the treatment of the premises is a requirement, not a preference.

How it works
From enquiry to the first treatment — two to five working days.
We look at the areas, the surface types and the requirements that apply to the site, then set the products, the frequency and the order of treatment.
List of areas, the product for each, contact times, the log format and a fixed price.
Mechanical cleaning, then treatment with the product left for its contact time. Work happens outside opening hours or area by area.
Ventilation as specified, a walk-round with your representative, the log entry, the signed sheet and photographs.
Control
and oversight
Four mechanisms that make quality something you can check, not something we claim.

Cleaning removes the soiling; the disinfectant goes onto an already clean surface and is left for its contact time. Neither works without the other: on a dirty surface the product reacts with the soiling rather than the surface. That is why disinfection always follows cleaning and never replaces it.
For the treatment and the contact time, yes — the area is cleared. How long depends on the product and how it is applied: for surface treatment it’s minutes; for air treatment it’s longer, plus ventilation. We state the times in the method statement in advance so you can plan around them.
With the log: for every area we record the product, the contact time, the operative and the date. Photographs are attached to the sheet. If the site needs laboratory swabs, that is a separate procedure arranged through a specialist laboratory.
Safety data sheets for every product are kept on site. Products are chosen to suit the area: food-grade only in food areas; on soft surfaces, products that leave no marks, tested on a inconspicuous area first. Treatment is carried out in protective equipment with no one else in the area.
It’s set by the site specification and the requirements that apply. Touchpoints in high-footfall areas are treated on every shift; washrooms and food areas to a schedule; general rooms less often. The frequency is written into the method statement and can form part of a regular contract.
Pest and rodent control, industrial duct cleaning, treatment ordered by the authorities after an infection case, and laboratory testing. These are separate works and some of them require a specific licence.
